We are two busy birds embarking on a new adventure in the country. We close on our new piece of the country in April 2017, and we look forward to making it our own!

Our story began almost 10 years ago. We met in Charleston, SC, as neighbors and became great friends. After several years  of awesome friendship, our relationship evolved. Evan proposed on Christmas 2014 and we married April 2016!

We’re married!

Evan (Head Busy Bird) always dreamed of living in the country on his own plot of land. He loves a good project and needed more space for his toys. Right before our wedding, we bought a house we thought of as a great compromise. It included plenty of garage space for my HBB, but was still in a neighborhood for me! Unfortunately, this house was not meant to be. HBB’s job moved him to a new town only a few weeks later!

Because we still needed to sell the new house, we moved into an apartment. We quickly found apartment living is Not for us! Luckily, our house sold quickly and we began hunting for our new home. We stumbled upon a property in the country that I didn’t know existed. The land included an old house (1980s) as well as a barn and a workshop. The house needed a deep clean, some hard work and a little love, but the property was amazing!

We put an offer in on the property and hope to close April 2017! We hope to chronicle our adventures on our new farm on this blog. We have a lot to learn and so many projects we want to accomplish. We hope you enjoy Busy Birds Farm as much as we do!
