Our Scotland Trip
Right after buying the farm, we travelled to Scotland. I thought it would be fun to cover our adventures outside the farm in a series I’m entitling “Travel Thursdays!”
How the Trip Came About:
At some point the year prior, Evan and his dad decided we needed to take a vacation. He told me to research and said “Dad said let’s go somewhere like Scotland.” Thus, our Scotland trip was born! One of my favorite parts of a vacation is the research. I love reading about different places and researching the history of each place we visit.
Starting Point for Scotland Travel Research:
- Rick Steves (my go to)
- Fodor’s Essential Scotland
- Top 10 Scotland
- My Scotland Pinterest page (lots of travel blog posts!)
Our Trip:
We spent 9 full days in Scotland with two travel days. Our best friend Tim and Evan’s dad also joined for a trip full of fun hikes and road trip adventures. The weather was perfect and it even snowed once! I might have been the crazy southern girl dancing around in the street catching snowflakes. This is the short list itinerary for our entire trip. I plan to link each day’s blog post back to this page. Keep checking back for updates!
