Week in Review 5
Hey Y’all!! Welcome to our 5th Week in Review!!
Monday
We drove the golf cart through the trails, and a little later this Terrifying spider appeared!
Tuesday
So Much Rain! Evan needed to grocery shop for Man Weekend, so we braved the weather and went back into town. Before we went to bed, we took our nightly golf cart ride. We spotted at least 5 baby raccoons in our pear tree! Since the trees are so close to the chicken house, we made sure the chickens were locked up tight.
Wednesday
Evan left for man weekend. Womp Womp. I moved the two incubator chicks outside with the older 2 ones and moved momma hen out. She was Not a fan of moving away from her babies, and she hopped back into the silkie pen. I put the heat lamp in with the babies since it has dipped into the 70s at night.
Thursday
Short day at work AND Dad came to visit! Dad and I sat on the back porch and watched it rain.
Friday
More rain and storms. Dad and I did get a couple of walks in, and the dogs got a bath. Nora hated bath time. I got the shampoo on, but it was a fight to try and wash it back off.
Spoiler: I saw those scary looking clouds and called Dad back. Don’t you think hanging out on the farm is way more fun than driving home?? 😉
Saturday
Saturday started off super foggy. Once the fog lifted, dad left for home and I started grass cutting. I got the driveway and in front of the barn cut. Then, I hung out on the back porch and watched more rain storms. My neighbors came over late Saturday night to check on me, and we saw at least 10 raccoons in the pear trees! They are super hard to catch in a photo, but they love eating all of the pears.
Sunday
Evan came home!! WooHoo! I got chores done before he got home, then we hung out with neighbors in the barn and at the river. The water is super high from all of the rain!
Now, It is another Monday! I hear thunder in the distance, and it is so hot outside. I’ve taken the dogs swimming, and we’re currently on the back porch with two fans going!
I hope y’all have a great start to your week!
