Painting the MotherinLaw Suite
The previous owners of our home started building a Mother-in-Law Suite onto the side of the house. They left the hardie plank unpainted and the inside unfinished. Last October, we finally painted the outside a cream to match the preexisting house trim color. Evan then borrowed a friend’s bucket truck in order to paint the higher parts.
Before:
I think the MIL suite was the redheaded step child of our farm, because I have so few pictures of it. In most pictures I took, I framed them with the MIL suite out of the picture. So, this picture is from last April before we bought the farm, but you can see the bright yellow primed planks.
Painting the Sides:
Evan and his dad painted most of the sides while I was at work, so I do not have many pictures of this process.

Farm Photos
While we had the bucket truck, Evan went up and took some amazing pictures of the farm.
Cutting Tree Limbs
We also used the bucket truck to cut down some hard to reach tree limbs.
After:
Here is the MIL Suite today. All of the sides and the top painted, and the trim around the doors and windows painted white. Next, we need to finish the inside!
