Our First Farm Animal: Copper the Farm Dog

Evan and I hold different opinions regarding animals and their living spaces. Because of this, we deferred getting a dog. My German Shepard passed away in March of 2016, and last year, I was not ready to open my heart up to another animal. Enter Evan’s parents….  They took a trip to their local pound to check out the kittens, and they returned home with a chocolate lab puppy! We received a phone call; “We got y’all a farm dog!”

They learned that said puppy continued to climb out of his pen and escape, and his owner decided they no longer wanted him. Evan’s parents fostered him for a week before the adoption finalized.

Since this occurred over a year ago now, Copper has become part of the Busy Birds family. He loves to cuddle, swim and play with his girlfriend Molly. Be on the lookout for plenty of cameos by Copper on the blog and Instagram!
